Williams has signed a contract to play professionally during the coming season for Aris Leeuwarden in The Netherlands.

Williams, a Richmond native who grew up in New York City, led the Atlantic 10 Conference in assists (5.7 per game) last season while also averaging 9.8 points.

In four VCU seasons, Williams played in 133 games, scoring nearly 800 points and passing for 389 assists.

Former Rams Brandon Rozzell and Darius Theus also played for Leeuwarden in recent years. Leeuwarden is a city of more than 100,000 in central Holland.
