Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation will host Wine Women & Shoes, a fundraising event to help victims of abuse, 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa at Short Pump, 12042 W. Broad St.

Ticketholders can shop the latest shoe styles and taste fine wines as they bid on auction items. Proceeds from the event will benefit Bon Secours Forensic Nursing, which is celebrating 25 years of helping victims of abuse and collecting and preserving evidence from victims of physical violence.

“We want to empower victims of domestic violence in all forms in our society, said Rita Henderson, co-chair of the event. “Bon Secours’ forensic nurses, who are on duty 24/7, are vital to our community.”
