Opinion does not belong in headline

Re: “Right and wrong,” Oct. 15-17 edition:
With the headline of the article, “Right and wrong,” the Free Press editor has egregiously violated the most sacrosanct rule of journalism. Opinion belongs on the editorial page or a column clearly delineated as opinion, not fact.
Both articles related the latest decisions concerning two incidents where policemen of European descent shot and killed someone of African descent. The decisions and the reactions from the people affected by those decisions are news.
Judgments about the rightness or wrongness of those decisions are opinion, not fact, and do not have any place on the front page of newspapers.
