Winning streak ends for Bowie State Bulldogs

The Bowie State Bulldogs hit the end of the road in Valdosta, Ga.
Bowie State, the reigning CIAA football champions, lost to host Valdosta State University 41-17 in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II football playoffs.
Valdosta State dominated the game, racking up 533 yards and 29 first downs to the Bulldogs’ 221 yards and 14 first downs.
Bowie State finishes 12-2. Its only other loss was a season- opening setback at Delaware State.
Valdosta State now will host Colorado School of Mines in the semifinal on Saturday, Dec. 11.
