Howard University Lady Bison bow to top seed South Carolina

The Howard University women’s basketball team was outstanding in qualifying for the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, the Lady Bison had nothing left once they got there.
Seeded 16th, Howard lost 79-21 to top-seeded University of South Carolina on March 18 in the Greensboro, N.C., Region.
The South Carolina Gamecocks led 44-4 at halftime and 60-8 after three periods.
Finishing the season 21-10, Howard made the NCAAs by virtue of winning the MEAC Tournament in Norfolk.
Against South Carolina, Howard was 8-for-54 from the field (15 percent), while com- mitting 20 turnovers and being outrebounded 69-28.
