Early, in-person voting for the Tuesday, Jan. 6 special election will begin Saturday, Dec. 27 and continue through Saturday, Jan. 3.

 

Richmond voters who live in the portions of the city that are in Senate District 15 or House of Delegates District 77 can vote at the Office of Elections, 2134 W. Laburnum Ave.; City Hall, 900 E. Broad St.; and Hickory Hill Community Center, 3000 E. Belt Blvd. Voting hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with additional Saturday hours on Jan. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Monday, Jan. 5 and Tuesday, Jan. 6 at City Hall. 

Chesterfield County voters who live in Senate District 15 or House District 77 can vote at the Central Library, 7051 Lucy Corr Blvd. Voting hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with additional Saturday hours on Jan. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

All locations will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day. 

Ballot drop boxes will be available at the Richmond Office of Elections, City Hall, Hickory Hill Community Center and the Chesterfield Central Library. Curbside voting for voters with disabilities or those ages 65 and older will also be available at both locations as well as Hickory Hill. 

Requests for absentee ballots by mail must be received by Monday, Dec. 29. No excuse is needed to vote early in Virginia. Bring an acceptable form of ID or be prepared to sign an ID confirmation statement.
