Chesterfield County will induct seven athletes into its Sports Hall of Fame during a ceremony Thursday at the Perkinson Center for Arts and Education.

The 2025 inductees are William Henderson, Rudi Johnson, Sean Marshall, Charles McLeod, Lennie Pond, Shannon Taylor and Megan Walker. 

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the ceremony beginning at 7 p.m. at the center, located at 11810 Centre St. Three inductees — McLeod, Walker and the family of the late Pond — are confirmed to attend. 

The county will also announce C-Fit Community grant recipients and present special recognitions for Sports Event of the Year, Community Partner and Midlothian High School’s softball team. 

Established in 2024, Chesterfield’s Sports Hall of Fame honors athletic greats who have contributed to the county’s sports history. Inductees’ names are displayed on a wall at River City Sportsplex at 13030 Genito Road.
