I can understand the current movement, but things have gotten way out of control.

I have had to call 911 and (804) 646-5100 every day since Memorial Day because of the repeated fireworks and or gunfire in my neighborhood, Eastview, which is surrounded by Mosby Court and Raven and Accommodation streets.

On June 20, a parade of cars came down my street, Ford Avenue, driving on both sides of the street. People were hanging out windows, music was blasting, horns honking — a totally chaotic scene.

I called the police and nobody came.

What are we, as law-abiding and senior citizens, supposed to do? This has gotten totally out of hand.

Is there anyone who can help?
