University of Richmond freshman Alicia Newell plays in the Cheer & Gear Classic Basketball Game on Dec. 8, part of the Henrico Sports & Events Center’s anniversary celebration hosted by the Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority. The Spiders defeated the Columbia Lions 85-76 after leading throughout the game.
