Seventh-grade MLK art students Sariah W. and Brianna T. join city leaders, educators, and
community volunteers in painting a street mural along the 1000 block of Mosby Street on Fri-
day, March 29. The project is part of the Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper (LQC) initiative, led by the
Richmond Department of Public Works and the Office of Equitable Transit and Mobility. LQC
projects — informed by community feedback — focus on improving traffic safety, advancing
transportation equity and creating more accessible streets through quick, low-cost solutions while securing funding for permanent upgrades.
