The Henrico & Virginia Sports Hall of Fame marked the 50th anniversary of Arthur Ashe’s
Wimbledon win with a mural unveiling at the Henrico Sports & Events Center on Tuesday,
Feb. 4, at 6 p.m. The tribute vividly portrays Ashe’s journey from his Richmond beginnings
to becoming a global tennis icon. Members of the Ashe family attended along with Henrico
County officials and others.
