The James River Branch Trail took a big step forward with a groundbreaking ceremony Dec. 10 at Westover Hills Boulevard and Crutchfield Street. The 2-mile, multi-use trail will connect Westover Hills Boulevard to Hopkins Road, offering a safe route for biking and walking and enhancing access to South Side neighborhoods. Construction begins in the spring, with completion expected by December 2026.
