The demonstration supported Richmond janitors who went on strike over charges that the company illegally terminated three workers and threatened another for attempting to unionize.

City janitors walk off job, protest Nu-Tech

Chants of “Nu-Tec, shame on you,” and “Union for all” echoed in the streets around City Hall on Tuesday, as contracted Richmond janitors walked off their jobs to protest their employer, Nu-Tech Janitorial Services.
