Cracked, broken and dangerous. That’s the condition of the front steps of the Main Public Library in Downtown. That’s why they are now blocked off to pedestrians. And that’s why the steps and handrails are being replaced. Henrico County-based Millennium Enterprises LLC has received a $99,200 contract to replace the stair treads and handrails and repair the snow mats. The work is expected to be completed in six to eight weeks.

Thanksgiving arrived early when the Richmond Christian Center extended “A Thanksgiving Meal” to the less fortunate in the community last Saturday. The pre- Thanksgiving event featured all the delicious dishes of the season, with volunteers from the South Richmond church serving their guests.
