First Baptist Church of South Richmond has rescheduled its Super Saturday family festival for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the church’s North Chesterfield campus, 6201 Ironbridge Road.

Backpacks with school supplies will be distributed at the event that is to include music, face painting, a Zumba class, flag football games, 3-on-3 basketball, voter registration, health vendors and food, followed by movie night.

Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

“We are asking people to continue to donate school supplies because children need them all year round,” Pastor Derik E. Jones said. “We are hopeful the extra time will enable our congregation to bless more children with school supplies.”
